Healthy Boy!!!

Hutch had his 2-month check-up bright and early this morning. He was such a sweet boy. He was all smiles, laying on the charm for Dr. McConnell! He weighed 13.4 lbs, and is 23 3/4 in. long. We have ourselves a very healthy little boy!! After Dr. M checked him out from the rooter to the tooter she sent in the nurse for 5 shots!!! Hutch was super brave, only crying out for about 20 seconds...and that was that! I nursed him before we left the office, he fell asleep...and has barely made a peep since (it's now 2 1/2 hours later).






I am incredibly blessed to feel so great myself, and to have 3 healthy children....INCREDIBLY BLESSED!

Finally......

I have two "finallys", finally #1, Cannon lost his first tooth!! I picked the kids up yesterday morning at shit for brain's house. Cannon still had not lost his tooth that has been loose for almost 2 months. As I took a closer look when we got home I noticed his permanent tooth was already a quarter of the way in!! Of course superdad and super stepmom didn't notice that, or the fingernails and toenails that were in desperate need of grooming and de-funking....but that is a whole other blog posting that I am darn close to writing....a tell all...it won't be pretty...back to Cannon's tooth though! So I got out some dental floss and worked that little pearly white out of there!! He wasn't the best patient, but when it did come out he claimed it was no big whoop. He got five bucks for his tooth from the tooth fairly....AKA a very sleepy Les at 3:00 this morning. I would say the overall experience was a good one for him....he was very excited!



Finally #2, tomorrow is the last day of July!!! WOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!! Because it is the sperm donor's weekend he will have them until Monday morning, then we are a little closer to getting back onto a normal schedule!! The kids are as ready for July to be over as I am. Cannon has been counting the days! I've never known a 7 year old to always know the date like Cannon has this July! We are looking forward to some good times together before school starts...I can't wait!!

One more little story....

I got Neely some "workout" pants that she loves, but she was very upset that she didn't have a shirt that fit so you could see the pretty waistband on the pants. I finally got her a "running" shirt, as she calls it, to go with the pants. I asked Neely if she was going to be a runner, and she replied, "no, I don't want to sweat". Such a girly girl!! Like so many women I have seen out and about in their perfectly matching "workout" outfits that you can tell have never been sweat in! The only running they are doing in their gear is running errands! For Neely, it is all about the "look"....and she definitely has got that part down!

A new toy for Hutch

Hutch is almost two months now....hard to believe. That means it's "tummy time". He wasn't appreciating his tummy time on a plain old blanket, so Les and I hooked him up with a Baby Einstein play mat (supposedly all the rage with 2-6 month old babies), and now tummy time is a lot more interesting. There are many visually stimulating things for Hutch to get excited about on this little number, although he has found the most interesting thing to look at is himself! Yep, just like his Daddy, he likes to look at himself in the mirror!! So for now the "Baby Neptune Ocean Friends Play Mat" is a hit. Happy Hutch = Happy Mommy & Daddy...anything for our little man!

How many times will Gran watch this video of Hutch?

For most, this video doesn't seem like much....a yawn, a couple of sneezes and a few hiccups....big deal! I assure you that there is a Gran out there that will watch this video at least 10 times!! Here ya go Gran......

Diaper change

A couple of days ago Cannon and Neely decided Hutch needed his diaper changed. They were all in the living room (I was in the kitchen when I heard what was going down), so Cannon actually had to pick him up, carry him to our room and put him on the changing pad on our bed. Of course, I caught it on film (seen below). Also, here are some pictures from Les' birthday dinner (fancy, fancy, the kids got to drink their milk and kool-aid out of wine glasses...actually Les drank his kool-aid from a wine glass too...no, seriously), and from the rest ofd our weekend. We had a great time, but it went by entirely too fast. I took them to DA's house yesterday morning :(, Cannon has already called me 4 times....bless his heart. I won't see them for 8 days...YIKES! I know it will go quickly, but I am ready for July to be over!
