Weekend Getaway to Lake Tyler

We made a little last minute trip to Lake Tyler (my parent's house) this weekend, and I am sure glad we did!  It was relaxing, fun, easy & wonderful to be with Meme & Poppie.

We took full advantage of the fact they live right on the lake this weekend!!!

Neely trying to ski, she was SO CLOSE!  Cannon tried too, but I didn't get a picture of him because I was in the water helping him.  Meme was helping Neely here.

We took the boat out and swam in the coves.  The kids loved falling jumping off the back of Poppie's boat.

After a long day on the lake we roasted hot dogs & made smores by the campfire.

I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend!  Thank you Meme & Poppie for letting us take over your house, boat & lake for the weekend.  We had a wonderful time!!

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy!  You are an incredibly giving person.   I am so proud of all the things that you do, and who you are.  I am proud to be your daughter.

Happy Father's Day to my amazing husband.  Thank you for all that you do for our family.  You are so good to us, and I hope that you know everyday (not just today) how much we love and appreciate everything you do!

We had an action packed weekend full of friends & family.  I didn't have my camera in tow, but trust me, we have had a GREAT weekend! 

Les and 3 of his buddies played in a golf tourney this afternoon while we (the ladies) took the kids to the pool.  After the guys were done we feasted on some delish BBQ & ice cream cake.  AND, our guys won the whole tourney!!!  Yes, they are awesome :). 

After the BBQ we took some golf carts out and showed our friends around.  We showed them the wild turkeys, rock squirrels, sand traps, a great view and how to roll down hills!

All good things must come to an end! Bye-bye weekend!  Hope your weekend was fantastic too!

HBD to HDC

I really can't believe my "baby" is 3!  When did that happen?  Yes, I know I've said all this before (each time one of my kids has a birthday), but it really is unbelievable how fast it has gone! 

His birthday was Monday, but we were in San Antonio & New Braunfels, so we celebrated tonight at Chuck E Cheese!!  Of course he had a blast!

He was so excited and so animated while opening his presents, absolutely adorable!! 

Since he didn't get a "birthday blog" I have to tell you what Hutch is like at 3....

First, he is the size of most 4 year olds.  He weighs about 45 lbs, and wears a size 10 shoe (just a little smaller than Neely's).  He mostly wears 4T, and has for a while.  He is so smart, he is such a little thinker and problem solver.  It absolutely amazes us some of the things this child comes up with on his own.  He is also quite the little athlete!  He is an excellent swimmer, he loves to kick a soccer ball, can catch and throw a football and baseball, he can whack a ball off a tee and he loves to hit the golf ball.  This little boy loves sports!  He is also the biggest Daddy's boy EVER!  He loves his Daddy.  He loves LuLu & Jessie.  He loves cake & ice cream.  He loves his "Bubba" & "Sissy".  He loves going to church. He hates naps.  He loves "The Lion King".  He loves to wear football jerseys. 

He is such a little love, and we enjoy him so much!  Happy 3rd Birthday, Hutch Denton!  We absolutely love you to pieces!!
