This Thanksgiving I was as thankful as ever, but I also had a very heavy heart for family and friends that I knew were spending their first Thanksgiving without loved ones. It has been a hard year for so many loved ones. I thought of them throughout the day and hoped they could find comfort and peace and still in some way find a way to enjoy their day and give thanks for what He has done for them.
We had a nice Thanksgiving at Gran's house. Uncle Brent came down from Dallas and brought his turkey frying tools and skills. Gran and I threw together a dozen dishes to make for quite a feast (and quite a few leftovers)!!

Thank you Brent for the wonderful turkeys, thank you Gran for making the traditional dishes, thank you Les for helping clean up and thank you everyone for letting me try out a few new recipes on you all! The cranberries will definitely make an appearance again next year, the rest of them I'll go back to the drawing board on :). Speaking of next year....we went down and looked at the progress on our house. Thanksgiving 2014 is set to take place there!!! Very exciting.
Thanks most to Jesus for His many blessings!
