Christmas decorating and new kicks

We came home on Saturday from Thanksgiving in Tyler.  I knew we had the task of undecorating from Fall and decorating for Christmas.  This is the last weekend the big kids will be here (two weekends at Dad's house, then they will go to "Winterfest" at Pinecove, more on that later) to help decorate before Santa comes, so we had to get it done!!

(the next day)
Since the big kids will not be home for Christmas, and will be gone a lot over the next few weeks, Gran wanted to go ahead and give them their gift so they could enjoy them now!!

They had each gone to the store and tried on and picked out exactly what they wanted, but didn't know that Gran got them that day.....

So.....
 they
 were
 so
 EXCITED!!!!!

Thank you Gran!

Neely wore her boots to school today

and so did Hutch!  Cannon had PE (and he's not sure if it's cool to wear boots to school, but he REALLY likes them) so it wasn't a good day for Cannon to boots!

Well, it's official, Christmas is just around the corner!!  My, do I have a lot to do between now and then!!

more fun

We don't get out with all the crazies on Black Friday :).  We are more of cyber Black Friday folks.  We enjoyed another day at Kiki's house, relaxing and visiting, definitely more my speed!

Two of my high school girlfriends came over for a visit.

Forever Friends, Heather & Keri - LOVE these girls!

Another great day!  We had such a wonderful visit, and we are sad to see it coming to an end.  We'll head back to Cedar Park tomorrow and hopefully undecorate from fall and get ready for CHRISTMAS!!!

Thankful

We have had so much fun (and there is still much fun to have)!!!  Cannon and Neely spent the week here in East Texas between Meme & Poppie and Aunt KiKi & Uncle Jason (see here what they have been up to).  Hutch and I arrived at KiKi's house yesterday afternoon.  We were welcomed......

Ben, Lucas & Nick live and go to school here now, their parents and younger brother are still in Columbia) since they didn't have anywhere to go they joined us for Thanksgiving!  They are really nice young men.
