Granny

Les' Grandmother went to heaven at 7:46pm on Friday night.   

I am so glad that Les & Hutch went to see her last week!! 

 

Our thoughts and prayers are with her daughters, Brenda and Janet in the days to come.  Although we know she is in a better place, with our Heavenly Father, it must be very difficult for them to make the transition to life without their Mother on this Earth.  We love you all and will be praying for peace and comfort!

Aunt Liz

Last Friday when Les, Hutch & Gran came back from Alabama, they had a stowaway...AUNT LIZ!!!  We love when Aunt Liz comes for visits.  She is fun and she gets Gran busy on projects :)(usually for us, this time making new cushions for our outdoor chairs).  She takes the kids for secret ice cream runs and they adore her...not just because of the ice cream.  We are so glad she is coming back in January, it made it just a tad bit easier to say good-bye tonight.

Alabama

Les' Grandmother is not well and we decided last weekend that Les and Hutch should drive out to Alabama to see her.  Les, Hutch and Gran took off Monday afternoon and made their way around to see everyone in the 4 days they were there.  Unfortunately, Les forgot to take a camera and his phone takes terrible pictures. So, I don't have a lot of pictures to show, but the ones I have are priceless.  I'm so glad that Les took Hutch to see Granny while she was still able to enjoy them being there.  I was a little worried that Hutch would be a toot while there, but Les said he was an absolute angel and hugged and loved on everyone....so proud of him!!!

 

 

 

Hutch got to do lots of "Alabama stuff"....riding the mule and the tractor, picking cotton with Aunt Brenda and Aunt Janet, eating a home cooked fried chicken supper, jumping in a COLD pool with his cousin Campbell, burgers at the Sandlin's house and hugging Grandgranny's neck several times.  So glad they had the opportunity to do this, such special memories!

Bike Day at HCCSA

Hutch's PreK class at Hill Country had "Bike Day" on Friday.  Everyone brought bikes and scooters and rode around the parking lot for an hour.  Hutch doesn't usually go to school on Fridays, but his teacher invited him and really wanted him to come :).  He was in Alabama with Les and Gran all week, so I didn't think they would make it back in time.  Well, Les decided to drive all the way through (13 hours) and got home Friday morning at 4:45am!!!  He got a few hours of sleep and then took Hutch and his bike to the school so he could ride with his buddies. 

 

 

Looks like he had a fun time!!  Thank you Les for getting him back for this special day!
