Lake bums

Yesterday was another wonderful day on the lake!  We had 60% chance of showers all day (which probably scared a lot of people off, thank goodness) and we never saw a drop, except on our way to church.  After church we grabbed a bite to eat and hit the lake.  Neely was READY TO SKI again!  That girl is hooked!!!  The boys were itching to tube again, Uncle Brent, Meme, Poppie and I were so glad to see them enjoying the lake as much as we always have!!!  Cody & Courtney joined us later in the afternoon.  Neely had to show off her new skills, we did more tubing and a little swimming before dinner.

After another delicious dinner Poppie made a campfire so the kids play in the fire roast marshmallows.   Meme didn't have marshmallows so she ran out to get some while we cruised on the lake and swam.  Thank you Meme for being such a wonderful hostess!!!  We needed for nothing all weekend. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!

 

 

We ended the night with some delish root beer floats.  Uncle Brent had gone to get a few growlers of beer at Craft & Growler before he left Dallas on Friday.  He didn't want to leave the kids and non beer drinker out, so he came with a growler of Abita Root Beer as well!  It was GOOD, especially poured over vanilla ice cream! 

 

We had to get up early this morning to head back to Austin, but Neely really wanted to ski one last time....and so she did!  She was getting a little braver this morning, putting her hand in the water, waving and cutting her skis.  Thanks again to Uncle Brent & Poppie for getting in the water with her, teaching her, all the cheers, patience and encouragement!!!  Woohoo Neely!!!!!

 

 

Such a wonderful weekend.  Sad to see it come to an end.  We missed Les terribly and wished that he could have enjoyed the weekend with us!  He stayed back in Cedar Park to wrap up some packing and moving at the house, as we close this coming Friday.  More about that to come!!  Busy week ahead, last day of school this week, house closing and some beach time with our wonderful friends coming right up.  Ahhhh summer, welcome....I missed you!

Fun day on the lake!

We arrived in Tyler before dark yesterday.  We had hot dogs and enjoyed some time with Aunt Kiki and Uncle Jason before they headed to Dallas for the weekend.  After dinner my little firebugs helped Poppie pick-up and burn off some sticks. 

 

Meme surprised Hutch with a little "birthday party" and he was SO EXCITED!!!! 

 

We hit the lake early today to avoid all the holiday weekend boats.  The lake ended up not being as crowded as we had expected, and we enjoyed a FULL day on the lake!!!  The kids tubed, tubed and tubed some more, they loved it and can't wait to go out again tomorrow.  Uncle Brent skied for the first time in 9 years!!  He definitely didn't look like it had been that long!!!  My girl learned to ski today!!!!!!!!  I am so proud of her.  She was so determined and tried so hard.  She did a great job.....as Hutch said "that was cool & awesome". 

 

A great day on the lake and we get to do it again tomorrow!!!
