"Cousin Camp"

It's funny how (being such a planner and rarely flying by the seat of my pants) sometimes the best times are the ones that kind-of just happen!

My Aunt, Uncle and counsins were planning to be in Tyler to visit my parent's house last week.  It wasn't in the cards for us to see them between work schedules, Cannon & Neely being at their Dad's and a golf tournement, but I think a little divine intervention took place because we all ended up enjoying a weekend together!!

What a wondeful weekend we had, well, except for Les, who probably has a herniated disc!!!  He was supposed to be playing in a golf tournement all weekend (which is why we were there in the first place, for the annual Hollytree member guest, "The Magnolia") and "quit" by about 10 o'clock yesterday morning.  I know for Les to not finish a round of golf, especially when someone else is depending on him, he felt horrible! What started as back pain (from moving), became leg pain, which became leg numbness and pain and then turned into leg weakness.  He can now barely walk and WILL be going to the doctor ASAP!!!  Besides that (which is a pretty big deal), we had a wonderful weekend.  Carrie-Ann and I had some fun sister time on Saturday and there was plenty of cousin love time all weekend!

Hutch's Super Birthday (week)

Last Wednesday night was Hutch's official 5th birthday, so we had a small family celebration that night.  Our lives have been SUPER DUPER crazy with end of school, closing on the house, moving, superhero birthday party planning.... but we couldn't not celebrate the big day.

Since Hutch has not ever had an "official" birthday party, I thought this year would be THE year to do it!! Five IS a big deal!!!  So, a "Superhero Party" is what he wanted, so that is what he got!  There are 5 birthdays within a two week period in Hutch's PreK class, so one of the other Moms and I got together to have a dual celebration!!  With everything else going on I wasn't sure if it would all come together....but it we pulled it together and made it happen!

Zipline + jump house + pinata + hot dogs + balloon maker (HUUUUGGGGEEEE HIT) + awesome cake, candy

2 Happy Birthday boys!

Thank you Gran for opening your home (backyard) for this wonderful party!  The consensus was it was it was a GREAT party!  Fun was had by all.  A super special thanks to my best friend for making the best superhero cake ever!!  She did an amazing job and I am thankful for such a special friend.  That was a labor of love!  Thanks Jenny!

Happy Birthday to my big 5 year old.  LOVE LOVE LOVE you sweet boy!

We'll think about another big party in another 5 years :).
