everytime I say "YAY"

he gets a big grin on his face......

Pink hair and vegetable soup

I took Zoe back to the vet this morning to have her ears rechecked, they are better, but not completely...more antibiotics.

I went to the salon and got some pink put underneath my hair.I wanted to do something different, but couldn't part with my long hair again.

I like the pink, Les does not.....fuddy duddy :).

Hutch chewed on a carrots, celery and green beans while I cooked.

Then he had a sink bath while I made Mexican cornbread

Homemade vegetable soup, all fresh veggies. Les didn't touch it, I had two bowls!

We did airplane.

Then he ate dinner.  Peas, carrots and a vegetarian burger....such a good boy!

Les golfed today, even though it was only in the lower 40's.....and he is playing again tomorrow....I can practically smell the camera!

We are going to rent a movie tonight....Angels and Demons, I think. Les is going to get me some Dove Dark Chocolates at Walgreen's.

Movie, hot tea, fully tummy of veggie soup, fire place blazing, ugg boots, comfy jeans, chocolate, pink hair, hubby, baby and sweet puggies.

It's a little boy and little girl short of being a perfect night.

It's been a good day!

Such a big boy

Sadie

My parents lost one of their sweet pups this morning.  Sadie was a  Shih Tzu, she was almost 13 years old.  I know they are going to miss her quirky little personality, and leader of the pack style.  My Dad will miss his go to bed early bed buddy, and I bet my Mom will even miss her annoying bark when she is trying to talk on the phone.

Bet she is running and jumping in the dandelions, without a care in the world!!  R.I.P. Sadie Jasper, we'll all miss you!!

Post-it Notes

The wig

This wig makes an appearance every once in a while in our house.  It's a wig that Les wore to an anuual 70's party back in his single days, and yes, I will look for some pics to scan in and post...hee-hee!  He doesn't go to that annual shindig anymore, but we can't seem to let go of the wig....it's too much fun.  Our newest member got to wear the wig this weekend.  He thought it was funny at first, but I think it scared him a little too.  He wouldn't move while it was on his head, and his laugh was a little on the nervous side.  He sure did look cute with a head full of black curly locks, but then again, he'd look cute in just about anything!!!

Happy Birthday Pop

Hubert Denton Jasper, aka "H.D.", aka "Pop" was born January 26th, 1920, and today he turns 90 years young !!  We named Hutch after my Pop, Hutch's name is Hutch Denton Campbell...he's a "little H.D.".  I was so proud to be able to use my Grandfather's name!   Pop got to meet his namesake for the first time when we went to Kentucky in September, it was absolutely precious, beyond words.

This is Pop holding me in 1975

I don't think Pop has changed much since I was a little girl.  I think he stopped aging around the age of 65.  He really does look and act amazingly young.  We are so completely blessed that he is in our lives.  Love you Pop, Happy Birthday, and many many more!!!!

which shirt?

I decided last week that my Sis and I should wear the same shirt for the marathon.  I called her to let her know, and of course she laughed at me, saying she really hadn't really gotten that far.  Well, I had, and I told her I would go and get us the shirts, then we could decide when she gets here which one we will wear.  I want us to wear a bright color so if we lose track of each other in the beginning (there are going to be approximately 15,000 runners), we can easily see one another, and  I wanted us to look at good as we can look crossing the finish line (it's the only thing that will look good about me).  Neely went with me to Academy yesterday to help me pick out a few tops.  I am sure the weather will have something to do with our decision, but so far, this is what we have to choose from.......

Photography credits to my 7-year old son Cannon, who thinks I am a little coo-coo!

Blue or pink?  I'm pretty much always partial to pink, and the long sleeves will hide my flabby arms keep us warm,  but I like the v-neck on the blue.  Decisions, decisions!

Nachos

Neely is a horrible eater.  It is so frustrating to try to feed her, and I have tried everything.  She will only eat chicken, in the form of a nugget or grilled, peanut butter (no jelly) sandwiches and cinnamon rolls.  I CAN get her to eat yogurt if it has no chunks or an occasion banana, but there is no veggies, no milk.....pretty much no nutrition in her life.  So, when I made nachos for Cannon today, and she asked for me to make her some, I was thrilled.  Nachos, yea, nachos.  Chips, I know, not that healthy, but I was just thrilled she was trying something new!  Cheese is good, she needs a little dairy and protein in her life!!!

I have always said Neely has taste buds in her fingers.  If she picks it up and makes a certain face I know that it is NOT going in her mouth, and if I do make her she will gag, and sometimes throw up!  It's an ongoing battle at dinner time to get her to, not only to eat her food, but to eat the 1 pea or 1 piece of corn I put on her plate.

A very small victory today, but we'll take it!  Maybe now I can step it up to a grilled cheese or quesadilla...and maybe someday I'll sneak a veggie or two in there.......a girl can dream!!!!
