This was last New Years Eve, exactly one year ago!
At the end of January Gran came home after being gone for 2 months
In February Neely turned 7
She had a birthday party at Acrotex, it was a lot of fun!
CA & I ran Austin half marathon in February
2 weeks later we ran Moe's Half Marathon
I took the big kids to Great Wolf Lodge for Spring Break with Meme, Kiki and Ashley
We also went to the Dallas Zoo with Uncle Brent, Aunt Julie, Aunt Kiki, Meme and Ashley
We also went to the Dallas Arboretum, it was absolutely breathtaking!
In April we had Cannon's birthday at Acrotex
In April we ran Zooma half marathon out at the Bastrop Hyatt Lost Pines
Easter weekend was spent at Meme & Poppie's house
May 1st we saw Willie Nelson at the Backyard, Julie marked that off of her bucket list
Mother's Day, Les was on a golf trip. The kids gave me gifts and made it a special day!
Memorial Day weekend was spent with Kiki and Ash
Hutch learned to ride a bike BEFORE his second birthday

I lost one of my best friends the first week in August, still heartbroken
August, Galveston getwaway before school starts
The next week we adopted Lulu
That week was also the first week of school, a NEW school at that! We became Hill Country Knights, and we've never looked back.
September we went to Member Guest at Twin Creeks
In October we went to Meme's house for the Tyler Half Marathon, and some pumpkin painting.
Finishing "strong" even though I came down with a stomach bug about mile 3. The hardest 9 miles I've ever run, and hardest 4.1 miles I've ever walked. My Sis pulled me through, I never would have made it without her!
Les had surgery 10/14 to have half of his thyroid removed, the results came back cancer. 10/21 he went in for completion (total thyroidectomy). The following week he got on a plane with Hutch to visit family in Alabama. His Dad has been very ill this year, and he really needed to take Hutch to see him. Right before Thanksgiving Les did his Radioactive Iodine Treatment for the cancer. He had to be away from us for an entire week. It was hard on all of us! He will go in for his follow-up labs and ultrasound in the next few months, and hopefully he will be free and clear of any cancer. We expect he will!

We came home from Thanksgiving and started decorating for Christmas
December 9th Cody and Courtney tied the knot in Shreveport, Louisiana
We came home from the wedding festivities on Sunday, and Monday morning I had to let my beloved Zoe go to heaven. Only 4 short months after Lola, Zoe went to join her in heaven.
Christmas Eve 2011
Sorry, something happened Christmas morning and I did not take many pictures at all, and what I took were not great!
As you can see we've had a good and bad year. We have been completely blessed in so many ways, and yet we lost two family members in just 4 short months, Zoe was 12 and Lola was 7. That was definitely the worse thing(s) that happened this year. I would have to say the best thing(s) has been everything else! The kids are thriving in their new school, they are all healthy and happy children. What more could we ask for?
