Member Guest 2011

This weekend was the annual member guest golf tournement for Twin Creeks Country Club.  Les has spent close to 35 hours since Thursday at the golf course and country club, so at the end of the weekend the guys treat their ladies to a drinks, a nice dinner and dancing at the club.  It's always a nice and fun event, but it DOES NOT make up for my hubby spending so much time up there....but he works very hard and deserves it!!

Les' guest, Wade, and his wife Dana, did not attend this year's dinner, so I took my friend Jenny with us!

Fun times at TCCC!

Fall morning

The kids have been hot on the trail for Halloween decorations of ANY kind.  When they ran out of things, they started making their own.  It makes for quite a  hodge podge of decor.  Look out Jessica Strehlow, here come the Campbell's!!!  Check out Jessica's beautiful fall decor!!  Then you have three kids and it all goes to "decor by dollar store", my kid's FAVORITE store!  Oh well, they have fun, and that's what counts!

The Haunted Mansion - man, my kids LOVE a big cardboard box.  I told Les we should get a new fridge for Christmas, and we'll give the kids the box as their present.  I'm still trying to get him to go for it!

a little "Facetime" with Meme from the walls of the haunted mansion
LuLu likes to stay close to the action

Cats, rats, ghosts, spiders and spider webs....spooky enough for you?

Yep, that's what my house looks like!  Let's  be clear, my house could never look like Jessica's.  I do not have the creativity that she does....but I'm pretty sure it would look a little nicer than what you see above :).

Happy Fall!!

Hutch LOVES edamame!

He went out to the freezer to get a popsicle, and came back with a steamer bag of green goodness!

Mmmm, good!

Backtracking

I feel like I have had so little time to blog lately, it just hasn't been at the top of my priority list (school, homework, laundry, work, grocery, run, cooking, cleaning, repeat, repeat, repeat have been).  So, in case you noticed (in the CM/Zinger pics) Hutch got a haircut, but you will notice in these pictures that either his hair grows REALLY fast, or these pictures were taken a week before the haircut.  Think whatever makes you feel like this blog post is legit.  I'll tell you what is LEGIT, my little man can play some t-ball!!!  By the time he gets old enough for t-ball, he is going to be ready for fast pitch!!!

Heck yeah, this boy knows what to do with a ball and bat!!!

Central Market & Zinger

You probably feel like this is a re-post, because I have probably posted 5 or 6 trips to Central Market & Zinger Hardware store.  It's definitely one of our favorite little weekend excursions.  We usually make it by Terra Toys too, but Hutch was a little too tootie pant  for the toy store today!  We always have fun looking around at Zinger, and always have a delish meal at CM!

Hutch just goes for the CM playground and Radio Flyer toys (not pictured) at Zinger.

I feel like doing what he's doing, but I'm right here blogging instead.....for you!  My two sweet big kids are missing from this trip downtown, we sure did miss them too.  Ready for them to be home tomorrow, just in time to "celebrate" (if that's what you want to call it) my 37th....I can't believe I'm getting so dang old!

Big Boy Bed

Hutch got a BIG BOY BED!!!  Not before he needed it.  Last night he was so excited about his new bed....but then slept in Cannon's bed, and Cannon & Neely slept in his...haha!  We told Cannon he could have the new furniture, and Hutch could have his, but he said he was fine with what he had!

This quilt is temporary.  I haven't looked very hard for bedding, and I'm not really in any hurry. He doesn't care, not sure why I should :).  Congratulations on your big boy bed, Hutch.  You look so little in this bed right now, but we know it won't be long until your feet are hanging off the end!

Poor little birdie

Hutch found a sweet little finch that had died on our back porch.  He came and got me to tell me about the "birdie that was night-night".  I'm pretty sure he has asked me 100 times today "Mommy, birdie night-night?".  Sweet baby boy, he was so concerned.  We wrapped the birdie up in a paper towel, and told him night-night.

Oh, and by the way, he is obsessed with Blue's Clue's.
